President | Italian Film Commissions

Stefania Ippoliti, born in Florence, studies Law in her native town where she currently lives and works. 
Since 2006 when Mediateca Toscana decided to develop and expand its Film Commission and gave her this task, she has been in charge of Cinema and of the implementation of regional policies for audiovisual production.

These are her major fields of activity:

At Mediateca Toscana, conservation and valorization of the archives; Cinema Literacy for schools and adults with the program “Lanterne Magiche”; support to the network of traditional cinema-theaters; support to and collaboration with international Film Festivals located in Toscana;

At Toscana Film Commission: promotion of the territory as a set, relations with production houses , professionals and industry businesses ; marketing strategies, format design, definition of integrated communication actions, partnerships with local agencies, national and international Associations and Institutions; management of La Compagnia, the Florence venue entirely dedicated to screening documentary films and hosting events and international Festivals.

In 2016 an implementation and experimentation project focusing on audiovisuals in Tuscany, is co-funded by the Italian State through the Sensi Contemporanei programme. Within the project’s framework Manifatture Digitali opens in Prato and in Pisa making a number of facilities available for production and highly specialized workshops: costume and animation in Prato; ICT use in audiovisual storytelling in Pisa. 

Since 2014 she has been the President of Italian Film Commissions, the national association of Italian regional and public film commissions.
