Pietro Valsecchi was born in Crema in 1953. In the 1980s he began his career as a film producer and in 1991, together with Camilla Nesbitt, he founded the production company Taodue Film, of which he is currently CEO; in 2017 he launched Medset, the subsidiary of Taodue in France, with which he produced his first film Le jeu, released in October 2018 with and excellent outcome.
In just a few years he has produced 18 feature films and more than a thousand hours of television series. Among the most successful TV titles we can list the five miniseries dedicated to Ultimo, the biographies of Pope John Paul II, Pope Francis, Paolo Borsellino and Maria Montessori, the detective series Distretto di Polizia, RIS, Squadra Antimafia, and the successful spin off Rosy Abate – La serie. He ha salso produced all the Checco Zalone movies, that have broken all box office records.
