Born in Rome in 1966, he graduated in Political Sciences from Sapienza University, Rome. Fabrizio Salini began his career in the television industry in 1997. He was appointed Head of Programming and Content at Fox Kids Italy in 1999. Between 2001 and 2003 he served as Head of Cinema Channels at Multhitematiques Italia, a company owned by the Canal+ Group. He joined Fox International Channels Italy in 2003 as Head of Entertainment Channels, and in 2007 he was appointed Vice President Entertainment Channels, with responsibility for the whole entertainment area for the group. Fabrizio Salini joined Sky Italia in 2011 as Head of Entertainment and Cinema. Between 2012 and 2013 he served as Head of Entertainment & Factual Channels at the group Switchover Media, acquired by Discovery Networks Europe, and was appointed Vice President Content Fiction & Kids at Discovery Networks Italia in 2013. In 2014 he became Managing Director of Fox lnternational Channels ltaly. In 2016 he was appointed Director of La7 Network. In 2018 he became Chief Operations Officer at Stand by Me, a TV and multimedia production company, leaving the position in July of the same year.
In July 2018, appointed by the Council of Ministers on the proposal of the Minister of Economy and Finance, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer at Rai – Radiotelevisione Italiana S.p.a.
In December 2018 he became a member of the General Council of Confindustria Radiotelevisioni.
