Production Designer
Paola Comencini was born in Rome, Italy on January 7, 1951. She attended the French high school and the Faculty of Architecture in Rome. She started to work in films in both costumes and set design department, choosing the latest as her main activity. She worked on the latest films of his father Luigi Comencini between the end of the 70s and the beginning of the 80s. Then, she continued her career as a production designer working mainly for films but also for television and theater. She experienced diverse genres such as comedy, drama, modern and costume designed for both film and television. She was nominated for several awards, and in 2005 she won the David di Donatello, the Ciak d’oro and the 35mm with Romanzo Criminale. Afterward, she worked in two seasons of the Romanzo Crimanale the Series. In recent years she has been working in three seasons of Rai series Tutto Puo Succedere, in the second season of Suburra, the series, in Io sono Tempesta, film directed by Daniele Luchetti, in the series Oriana with Marco Turco, in the films Latin Lover and Qualcosa di Nuovo by Cristina Comencini as well as several theater shows. She worked with Francesca Comenici on several occasions: Mi Piace Lavorare (Mobbing), A Casa Nostra, Lo Spazio Bianco, Un Giorno Speciale and in the series Luna Nera by Francesca Comencini, Susanna Nicchiarelli and Paola Randi.
